Among the professionals sought by the U.S. government are accountants: The Partnership for Public Service says about 21,000 positions for accountants, tax examiners, auditors and budget and financial analysts, will need to be filled at the Internal Revenue Service, elsewhere in the Treasury department, and in other agencies through 2009.
